Merchandise Assistant

Responsible for the preparation of forecasting activities associated with clients and the products. You will maintain forecast models for the client based on business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales.

Enter purchase orders and communicate these with the vendors & customer

Reporting to the Merchandiser, you will be responsible for the timely placement of purchase orders and delivery of goods to meet client requirements

You will be the contact and liaison for/between client and vendors for product availability, stock information, logistics and shipping.

  • Assist in the preparation, evaluation and publishing of trading and stock reports
  • Enter purchase orders and communicate these with vendors and customers
  • Maintain and confirm expected shipping dates and update systems/tracking reports
  • Review and process shipping documentation for international shipments
  • Track orders through nominated forwarders/logistics websites
  • Communicate with client goods-in department
  • Communicate with client accounts department and assist vendors with timely payment
  • Investigate and assist with any accounts/payment queries
  • Assist in the management of clients’ product and website data
  • Communicate and assist international client offices

Desired Skills & Knowledge

  • Education – degree not required
  • Experience in similar role
  • Organized and eye for detail
  • Highly numerate
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written & verbal
  • Good team player
  • Experience of AS400, BI, Showcase and Oracle would be an advantage

Hours Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
